Jumpin Juice Gee Dub Semillon
It’s called Patrick Sullivan Jumpin’ Juice but the wine is now made in the most part by talented winemaker Xavier Goodridge (who has also allegedly bought into the ‘brand’) and the brand has surpassed Pat S’s locavore, Gippsland/Victoria vineyard worlds to include grapes from national sources. It was a wine that was released at times randomly, sometimes as a premium wine, and now, a ‘fighting brand’ per se, for natural wine enthusiasts, set to more affordable price points. Phew. We got there. All semillon from Margaret River in this wine. It sees two weeks skin contact and is raised in 3000L foudre and hits the bottle un-fined and unfiltered.
Lemon and grassy scents, bright herbaceous entry in the snout. Really lovely texture follows, a softening of the bouquet with light chalkiness, lemony freshness, green apple bite and a long, slow finish with rolling, mouth-watering tang a feature. Has complexity and freshness, feeling built for salty/greasy foods and seaside drinking. –The Wine Front
